Alessandra Zeka (she/her) is a filmmaker with a dynamic and intimate style, often focusing on women and gender queer communities. Her stories, which span from China to India to Albania to Central America, have screened at festivals worldwide. Her documentaries have been supported by Sundance/Soros Documentary Fund, NYFA, Chicken & Egg Films, NYSCA, Jerome Foundation, ArtsLink, Eastman Family Fund, M.Miles Foundation, Rockefeller Brothers, and others. She is also the founder of VR Punks, a cooperative of immersive filmmakers.
