Miao Wang (she/her) is an award-winning filmmaker who started her career apprenticing with Albert Maysles. She has directed three acclaimed feature documentaries: Admissions Granted (MSNBC Films), Maineland, and Beijing Taxi, plus shorts including Made By China in America and Yellow Ox Mountain (PBS). Her films have screened at major film festivals and institutions like the Guggenheim and been released theatrically, broadcast nationwide, and digitally distributed globally. Supported by Impact Partners, Firelight Media, and Sundance, Miao is a member of AMPAS.
