QUEER FUTURES
This collaboration with Multitude Films showcases queer and trans, BIPOC, disabled, working-class, and underrepresented experiences as a point of pride and power.
Critical Issues Fund
The Critical Issues Fund supported filmmakers focused on topical issues that had a decided and material impact on communities domestically and internationally.
AlumNest Relief Fund
A special fund in response to a survey surfacing a great need among our alumni filmmakers going through financial hardship due to the effects of COVID-19.
Docs by the Dozen
The program engaged with our AlumNest, built meaningful partnerships with like minded organizations and companies, and generated artistic and innovative short films and series that were designed to increase a filmmaker’s financial stability.
Nest Knight Fellowship
In collaboration with the Knight Foundation, the Fellowship supported women and gender expansive nonfiction directors from cities where the foundation invested and who were working on their first or second feature-length documentary.
Diversity Fellows Initiative
This program supported nonfiction projects helmed by women directors of color making their first or second films.
Impact & Innovation Initiative
This initiative was designed to enable filmmakers to explore immersive and digital storytelling through online and interactive shorts, web series, and other cross-platform projects linked to concrete social impact.
Fork Films and Chicken & Egg Pictures Workshop
A creative story workshop jointly convened with Fork Films, that combined our values-driven missions of propelling underrepresented stories.
TEDWomen Partnership
A collaboration with production partners at Lifetime and Artemis Rising Foundation to produce original shorts, created and directed by women to be presented at annual TEDWomen conferences.
